DISCUSSION: HOLISTIC HEALTH AND LIVING:
I chose to do a reflection on the discussion of holistic health and living because it was one of the discussions that started to make me motivated to work on myself and body again. Reading about the six dimensions of health and living and relating each one to me really helped me and had benefited me. The one that stood out to me the most out of the six dimensions would be physical wellness. This one in particular stood out to me because I knew all along that I needed to work on myself but never really did it. Seeing it on paper and actually reading about it to myself made me get up from the couch and start being a little more active. It also motivated me to drink more water. I used to not drink as much water as I do now and I have seen a great difference in my body, which makes me very happy. Lastly, being motivated to work on my physical wellness more has made me more energetic and positive, which is a really good thing for me.

DISCUSSION: FAST FOOD REFLECTION:
Reading about the different fast food restaurants and what certain foods contain really amazed me and surprised me. When I watched the video about chicken nuggets containing other food products rather than chicken itself really had me shocked! I was shocked because how can I chicken nugget not have enough chicken but has chicken in the name, it just confused me. But learning about this really pushed me to continue to make more home cooked meals, rather than eating fast food. Yeah fast food is okay once in a while but just not everyday or every time you crave it. Plus home cooked meals are better because you get to add your own touch to the dish and not be worried or concerned if they made it how you like it. Also because you can experiment and add more or less spices, depending how you prefer it. Lastly, this discussion taught me to think outside the box when cooking meals.

DISCUSSION: BODY IMAGE AND SOCIAL MEDIA:
I really enjoyed doing this discussion and reading what the other students had to say. I believe that body positivity is such a great thing that everyone should talk about more. Nobody should feel insecure or less confident because they don’t look like what they see on social media and the internet. People need to understand that everyone has different characteristics and qualities and that we are not all going to look the same. Social media can be a very scary place because of all the judgment and criticism. But the best thing to do with all that is ignore and keep doing what you are doing. It is best not to let society and social media get to you because then you can become depressed or sick, which is terrible. Taking care of your physical, emotional and mental health is the most important thing. Lastly, I really enjoyed all the positive discussions and nice comments people had to say.

DISCUSSION: STRESS RESOURCES:
At first I was not sure what to choose for this topic. I was thinking about panic attacks and phobias at first but then I chose to choose something that people can relate with more. Which is why I went with anxiety in college students and how to reduce it. As I mentioned in my discussion, I go through anxiety due to certain situations and responsibilities in life. However, researching about this topic was not so hard. Many college students suffer with anxiety due to the workload professors leave, plus having other things to worry about as well. For example, work, relationships and money. This discussion also taught me a few things. For example, anxiety is the number one mental health disorder in college students and depression comes next. This alarmed me because anxiety can affect many people differently and not in a good way. The best way to reduce anxiety would be to take a moment for yourself, close your eyes and let your mind relax.

This discussion was very interesting and informative. I really enjoyed reading what everyone had to say and the feedback they gave me in my discussion. I feel like I was always able to see drugs and people doing them because of where I live. So you can say I started seeing and learning drugs since I was a kid. In my discussion I put that I learned about them at thirteen or fourteen years old because that was when I would actually see them up close due to the people I would hang around with. I started to see what they can affect someone in a bad way. As I started getting older not only did I observe the bad things that drugs did to someone but also the good things. Some drugs can be used for medical use. For example, medical marijuana uses weed to ease pain, appetite and nausea. But other people use it for stress or anxiety.

This discussion was very helpful and informative. I was able to learn how stress and nutrition is connected to heart diseases, which is very alarming. Not watching your diet or what you are eating can really affect you because you won't know what you are digesting and if it will cause you to get sick or raise your blood pressure. Not doing enough exercise is also connected to heart diseases because it can cause you to go overweight and suffer with health problems. It is always good to do some type of activity everyday. Whether it is thirty minutes or an hour, any time you put into exercising can benefit you in the long run. I also learned that men have a higher chance of getting heart diseases or going through heart attacks because they are more aggressive and because women have a higher mortality rate than men, which is bizarre.
