OVERALL PERSONAL REFLECTION:
This class was very interesting, helpful and fun. I learned lots of new things I did not even know about. For example, all the different drugs, disorders, nutrition facts and many other things. This class taught me to be more cautious when it comes to food consumption and my diet. It taught me to see the different ingredients and all the different things it contains. For example, how much sodium, sugar, cholesterol, and all the different vitamins and minerals it can contain. It helped me understand that not all foods can be trusted and not all foods contain everything that the packaging says it contains. It also helped me start counting my calorie intake and keeping track of how much water I consume per day. Before I would rarely consume water but now I have noticed that I have drank a lot more water. I also noticed that I never reached the calorie intake I chose to take per day, which was very bad because some days I would only consume about four hundred calories. I was also able to notice that I didn’t eat much and almost everyday I would miss breakfast and/or lunch. It was actually very interesting to see that I did not reach my goal for calorie intake because I honestly thought I consumed a lot of calories per day. But I guess I was a bit healthy here and there. I really enjoyed taking this class because it did not teach me stuff that I did not need, but on the contrary. It taught me many things that I will soon need in life and all the things I have to be cautious about. For example, I was completely surprised when I read and watched a video about chicken nuggets. Chicken nuggets contain lots of products but barely any chicken. Like how is that even possible, chicken is literally in the name. But anyways besides learning about chicken nuggets I also learned about new things that can help me reduce my anxiety and panic attacks. Which will be very helpful because I get lots of those and pretty much have anxiety everyday. This class also taught me about sexual transmitted diseases and how that can affect you. I was really intrigued when reading and researching about this because that is one of the topics I wanted to learn more about. I really wanted to know how certain diseases can be transmitted through sex and what are the affects it can have on a person. Lastly, I really enjoyed taking this class and I believe that it has made me a more cautious person. This class helped me grow as a person and it has taught me a lot and for that I am thankful!
